Nominees for Executive Board:

Burt Gold

Liz and I have been active and involved members of Cold Spring Country Club for 15 years. I have served on the Board of Governors for 7 years working on various committees which are listed below. For the past forty years, I have successfully run my own company.
Cold Spring Country Club is faced with many new and signigficant challenges. The decisions we need to address in the next few years are important and will determine the club's future. My vision for the future of CSCC includes the successful completion of the proposed land deal as presented by our Land Development Committee which will give CSCC a much needed infusion of cash. With proper planning this capital will be used to lower dues, improve our infrastructure, and make Cold Spring Country Club the jewel of Long Island Golf Clubs insuring our future for years to come. I also believe in a more open and communicative Board and intend to include a number of Board meetings open to the membership.

My past experiences, strong independence and my commitment to the success of our club's future, make me the right person to be President of the Executive Committee of the Cold Spring Board of Governors. I would welcome your support of my candidacy.

My contributions to Cold Spring Country Club:
· Golf Committee Chairperson 2006 - 2007
· Tournament Committee Chairperson 2005
· Planning Committee Chairperson 2002
· Parking Chairperson 2001
· Served on Membership Interview Committee for the last seven years
· Greens Committee 2006.& 2007
· Nominating Committee 2003
· Served on U.J.A. Committee 1999-2006
I respectfully ask for your vote for President of the Executive Committee of the Cold
Spring Country Club Board of Governors.

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that I have decided to run for the Executive Board position of Vice President of Cold Spring Country Club. Additionally, the nine non-Board members of the Club's Nominating Committee has unanimously selected me as their candidate of choice for Vice President. As you are aware, I am presently completing my second year in the position of Treasurer.

Donna and I joined the Club in 1996 and shortly thereafter, I became an active participant and have served on all major committees. When I was elected to the Board in 2003, the President asked me to become the Golf Chairman. During this time period, I was responsible for initiating and implementing the POS system, used at most country clubs, which modernized and computerized our Club systems.

The lifeline of any country club rests with the members, and a successful club must have the ability to attract and recruit new members on an ongoing basis. In my opinion, we must be more fiscally responsible and correct the backwards fee structure in charging too little monies to join as a new member, while charging too much in dues to our ongoing members. The escalation and pricing of our dues must be addressed while still maintaining the services that the members require. This fine line between dues, services and member recruitment is the issue, that if elected, I will dedicate my passion and time to resolving. Other clubs in the metropolitan area have waiting lists and charge higher initiation fees, but have a lower yearly dues structure for the members. This is the best way to retain members year after year and should be the top priority of the next elected Board. Additionally all operations of the Club need to be evaluated in order to determine if there are areas that can function in a more fiscally sound manner.

After participating at the Club in many capacities, I believe I have the working knowledge, experience and sensitivity that can produce positive results in accomplishing member goals and initiatives, including updating by-laws, land sale proposals, maintaining our golf course on a world class level, improving our food and beverage service, and most importantly, integrating our future new general manager into the CSCC infrastructure. I want to work to improve relationships between members that were damaged by the ill will caused in the potential sale of the Club, as well as any other divisive issues that have allowed strife to enter our membership.

Positions Held at Cold Spring:

* Currently serve as Treasurer on the Executive Board 2006-2007
* Served two years as Golf Chairman 2004-2005
* Director of more than twenty tournaments
* Currently serve as the CSCC MET Golf Association 2004 2007
* Currently serve on the Interclub Golf Council 2001-2007
* Served two years on the Nominating Committee 2002-2003
* Currently serve on Finance, Golf, Tournament, Entertainment,
Pool, Greens and House Committees

For those of you who know me well, I am a very accessible person and readily available at the Club to answer and address your questions and concerns. Please feel free to contact me at either my email JosephTimmerman@aol.com or on my cell at 631-807-3262. Thank you in advance for your support and for the opportunity to serve Cold Spring Country Club.

Very truly yours,

Joe Timmerman

Michael Lissauer

This is Sharman's and my sixth year at Cold Spring Country Club and we have thoroughly enjoyed every moment here. I believe my time at the club has been enhanced by being a member of the Board of Governors for the past two years and an active member of myriad committees (see below) since I joined the club. I have learned from our successes, as well as our mistakes and I know I can make a positive difference as we move our club forward in the crucial years ahead.

Membership Chairman - 2006-7
Communications Chairman - 2006-7
Tournament Chairman - 2005-6
Hospitality Chairman - 2005-6
UJA Committee Chairman - 2004-2005
Membership Committee (including interview committee) - 2002-2007
Golf Committee - 2002-2007 (currently chairman of starting time sub-committee)
Tournament Committee - 2002-2007

In business, I played a decisive role in the acquisition of Business Wire by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway in 2006 and remain as a member of the company's Board of Directors, as well as the following:

Adelphi University - School of Business Advisory Board
Baruch College - Executives on Campus
American Cancer Society - Hope Lodge Cabinet, Long Island Region Advisory Board

In our club brochure I wrote, "you join Cold Spring Country Club for golf...you stay for the people." I strongly believe that the strength of our club is our members and therefore I would appreciate your vote for Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Cold Spring Country Club Board of Governors so that I can continue to work to bring our entire membership together and make this a better club for everyone.

Jim Ceitlin

As a member of Cold Spring Country Club since 1998, I seek your vote for the position of Treasurer on the Executive Board.

I am concluding my second year as Greens Chairman, and for the two previous years I held the position of Membership Chairman. In addition to my current duties I sit on the following committees: House, Golf, Membership and Membership Interview.

As past President and CEO of a home furnishing textiles company, I have the managerial, financial and operating skills which qualify me to serve on the Executive Board. If elected it is my intention to bring innovative thinking to the club and its members.

Giving back to the club is of utmost importance to me, and serving as Treasurer would be my way of repaying the membership.

If elected I will give all of my energy, skills and time required to enhance and provide added value to the membership of the club in the challenging years ahead.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Jim Ceitlin

Ira Koondel

I have been a member of Cold Spring Country Club for over 50 years and served on the Board of Governors for 14 years. I was President of CSCC during one of the most difficult times when we were redoing the golf course, rebuilding the downstairs of the Club House and constructing a brand new Pro Shop.

I have been actively involved on many committees and served for over 20 years on the Law Committee, Golf Committee, Membership Committee and Greens Committee. During this time I have participated in most new innovations at the Club. As a member of the Board of Governors I also have chaired a number of committees.

In my business life I have been a member of The American Stock Exchange for 38 years and serve on the Board of the Exchange. I have been involved in the sale and repurchase of The Exchange over the last several years and have dealt with the largest investment bankers and most prestigious law firms.

During the last several years at CSCC we have gone through a very divisive period. Unfortunately, in many instances personal agendas have replaced camaraderie and friendship. Membership morale has been at it lowest point in many, many years. Secrecy and contempt have been the byword. I, and many like me, offered to assist and advise and were totally ignored. It is time to bring back transparency and openness to the membership and Board of Governors.

We are entering a most challenging time for CSCC. We need real leadership, decisive leadership and experience leadership. The new executive committee needs someone who has experience, knowledge, and willingness to take CSCC through the challenges it now faces.

There will be membership issues to deal with. There is the "deal" with Oheka to be consummated. It must be fair to both sides to be successful. I have dealt with Oheka over the years and I believe I have a good relationship based upon trust and understanding and can come to a resolution that will appeal to both sides. I want to bring back the feeling of fellowship that was the trademark of CSCC.

For these reasons I feel I am the best person to help bring about a new and better Cold Spring Country Club.

Dr. Mark Dobriner

Dear fellow member,

I have been a member of Cold Spring Country Club since 1999. My wife Robin and I spend a great deal of time at the club. The golf, social activities and especially the friends we have made here are a significant part of our lives. As I begin my ninth season I feel it is important to get more involved in the running of the club rather than sit back as an almost anonymous member of our rather large committees. We are, I believe, entering a critical time for the club both in the immediate and foreseeable future. We need people on the board who are open minded, approachable and are willing to work hard to make decisions in the best interest of all the members. I am one of those people and I welcome the opportunity to serve on the Board of Governors.

Previous Committee Experience:
-Nominating Committee 2 Years
-Membership Committee (Interview Subcommittee) 4 Years
-Golf Committee 4 years
-Greens Committee 4 Years
-Planning Committee 1 year

Professional Experience:
-Have practiced Colon and Rectal Surgery for 15 years
(Managing partner of my practice for the past 8 years)
-Served on the Council of the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons for 2 years
- Served as Sect/Treasurer,V.P. and President of The Long Island Gastroenterological Society
-Member of multiple professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Nassau Surgical Society.

In conjunction with Cancer Care of Long Island helped establish the first of its kind Colon Cancer Support Group.

Thank you in advance for your support,
Mark W. Dobriner

Dr. Gerald Grossman

I have been a board member of Cold Spring Country Club for six years, two of which as executive secretary. This has given me a working knowledge of the intricacies of all the committees. I have been an independent free thinking board member who is not afraid to have another point of view. If elected, I will continue to work towards financial responsibility on behalf of the membership

PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS PERTINENT TO COLD SPRING

Dr. Norman Rich

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and attended Brooklyn College. In 1975, I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry as valedictorian of my class. I have a successful dental practice in Wantagh, NY. My management style leans toward handling people with honey, not vinegar, which is probably why my very capable staff has been with me for many years.

My wife Bonnie and I are very fortunate to have three beautiful daughters, Lindsay, Logan & Landan, each successful in their own right. This summer is our 17th season as a member of Cold Spring Country Club, a place where we spend a great deal of time and we consider it to be our "second home".

I have served on the Board of Governors for ten years, including two years as Secretary on the Executive Board. I currently sit on the Golf and Tournament committees, in addition to the Planning committee, which I have previously chaired.

Why, you might as would I want to return to serve on the Board? "What a thankless job" you might say. I, like many of you, was very dissatisfied with the proceedings of the past few years. Fiscal irresponsibility, secrecy, half-truths, scare tactics and bullying all existed under the previous executive board. I am hopeful that a new board can once again be representative of the entire membership.

I am committed to serving you as I always have, with the best interests of the membership as my priority. It would be my privilege to once again be your representative on the Board of Governors.

Sincerely,
Norm Rich

Steven Spaeth

Thank you for electing me to the Board two years ago. I am again asking for your support as I seek re-election.

The past two years have been difficult and out of the ordinary for us all. We have dealt with and will continue to face interesting and unusual challenges ahead.

I have tried to be fair and bring a balanced point of view to all matters that have come before the Board and frequently offer compromise ideas for consideration. Many times this has meant that I voice an opinion contrary to the majority. I think it is important to do this as well as present alternative solutions.

This year I was Men's Tournament Chairman and, working with my Committee, I believe this year's events have been fun for all participants. Prior, I chaired Communications and Special Events. Additionally I have been active in many other committees including Finance and Golf, and prior to becoming a board member - Entertainment, Junior Golf, UJA, and House to name a few.

Susan and I have been members for a dozen years now, attend almost all social events, have made many new lifelong friends and feel lucky to be members of Cold Spring.

Thank you for your consideration.

Steven Spaeth

Harry Wagner

I respectfully submit my resume to the membership to be considered for re-election to a second term on the Board of Governors of Cold Spring Country Club. I have served on our Board for the past two years as Chairman of the Law Committee. Myra and I have been members of Cold Spring for seven years and we have truly enjoyed the membership and the golf course. Both of us have tried to be involved members supporting the Club's many social activities. We have met many wonderful, interesting people at the Club and we are very happy as members of Cold Spring. I would like to continue to help the Board better serve the membership and to help the Board address major issues concerning our membership.

I have made a good faith effort to be an active member of the Club's committee system since I became a member. I have served on the Law Committee, the House Committee, and the Nominating Committee. Currently, I am co-chairing the sub-committee on bylaw revision and co-chairing the Land Development Committee which is exploring ways to utilize the Club's surplus land. I have also been an active member of UJA Day and I have chaired UJA Day in 2006 and 2007.

Professionally, I have been a practicing attorney for 35 years and maintain an office in Melville, NY. Currently, I serve on the National Board of Overseers of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and actively support several other charities.

I would consider it a privilege to be re-elected by the membership to serve on our Board of Governors.

My wife, Peggy, and I have been members of Cold Spring Country Club for over 20 years. During that time I have served on the Nominating, Pool and House Committees. This is the first time I have sought a seat on the Board of Governors.

I am seeking office because I am dismayed by the factionalism that currently exists at our club and by the alienation felt by many of our members. Under Article IV of our By-Laws the Board of Governors is charged with the duty to manage the Club's affairs and property. I hope to be part of a body that carries out this duty in a fair, open and inclusive manner. I believe my experience as a public accountant and lawyer can be used for the benefit of Cold Spring.

Educational Background:

· Bachelor of Science (Accounting) - New York University
· Juris Doctor - New York University School of Law
· Master of Laws (Taxation) - New York University School of Law
· Additional post graduate study -New York University School of Law

Experience:

· Duly licensed CPA and member of the New York State Bar
· Partner in J H Cohn LLP (largest regional public accounting firm in the metropolitan area)
· Previously, co-managing partner Jacobs Evall & Blumenfeld (medium sized CPA firm located in New York City)
· Practiced law for 20 years as a sole practitioner in New York City
· Past President - Accounting Group International - a network of independent public accounting firms with members throughout the world.
· Retired from all practice in June, 2002.

Personal:

· Married to Peggy for 43 years
· Three daughters
· Seven Grandchildren

David Eisner

Since joining Cold Spring in 1989, I served on the Board of Governors for four years and served as Chairman of both the Tournament and Insurance Committees. Although not on the Board for the last several years, I have served the Club in many capacities:

1. Insurance (monitored and maintained the Club's medical and life insurance programs (for over 12 years).
2. Golf - currently serving and have served for more than 15 years (served on subcommittee for tee times for 6 years).
3. House - currently serving - (subcommittee on wine and alcohol for last 8 years).
4. Law - currently serving and have served for more than 13 years (have assisted in redrafting of several by-law changes that have been proposed and passed by the membership).
5. Served on Nominating Committee and as Chairman for an additional 2 years.
6. Was instrumental in establishing the Special Election Reform Committee to revamp the Club's nominating and election process.
7. Currently serving on Good and Welfare Committee (served for many years).
8. Currently serving and have served on Greens Committee for 15 years.
9. Tournament Committee - chaired for 2 years and have served for over 15 years. Coordinated all aspects of all tournaments as chairman and acted as Tournament Director for many tournaments.

My wife, Dorothy, and I have always supported the Club (she also served on the Board for 4 years) by attending the many functions held on Saturday nights . . . as well as the many dinners on Friday nights and Sunday barbecues. My son's wedding was held at the Club less than 2 years ago.

My involvement in Club activities is varied and extensive . . . and has provided me with knowledge of many facets of the running of the Club. Being involved for as many years in Club committees and activities will assist me in making major contributions to the growth of a better Cold Spring.

I seek your support so that we can continue to build a better Cold Spring.

Dr. Paul M. Hyman, MD

It has been my pleasure to be a member of Cold Spring Country Club for 18 years. During that time, I have served on several committees, including Greens, Golf, Finance and the Nominating Committee. I now wish to contribute at the next level and if elected to the Board of Governors, feel that I could represent the membership with a fresh prospective.

In my other life, I have been a practicing physician for 29 years and the managing partner of a 6 physician, single specialty group. I have been Chief of Hematology-Oncology at Southside Hospital for 18 years. I was also Director of a hospice for Hospice Care Network for 10 years. I have been an active volunteer in the American Cancer Society for more than 22 years, holding many responsible positions, including President of the Long Island Division and Chief Medical Officer of the Eastern Division (New York and New Jersey). I was honored with the National Division Award, St. George Medal and Physician of Distinction Award.

It would be my honor to represent you as a member of the Board of Governors and ask for your support and vote.

Edward Kwitko

I am, first and foremost, someone who sincerely appreciates the privilege and value of being a member of Cold Spring CC. Carla and I have been members for thirteen years and we both share a strong passion and love of our club.
I have used this same opening paragraph every time I have sent the membership my resume. However, as much as things seem to change, they remain the same! Unfortunately, that does not include my thinning hair and my golf handicap!
I have served on the board for the last six years as our Membership Chairman, Executive Secretary and Vice-President. Do I have a reason at the "eleventh hour" for asking for your support to continue to serve the membership as a regular board member, yes! Here are my reasons;
I am very upset about the "polarization" of our club membership this past year. I am also very concerned about the many decisions the next Board Of Governors, and new Executive Board, will contend with , regarding management, membership, land development and By-Laws. These are critical issues which will be discussed, debated and voted on at the Board level before they are presented to the membership. The Board's decisions and proper presentation of these issues will play a very important role in the future direction for all of us at the Club.
Therefore, after much personal soul searching, I decided, albeit at the last moment, to participate in these important matters. Accordingly, I ask that you please support my "last minute decision", and provide me, once again, with the opportunity to serve the membership.
Thank You
Edward Kwitko

Joel Macher

Cold Spring continues to be a second home for Diane and me. During our 14 years here, we have made lasting friendships, and our club's activities have become an integral part of our lives.

While I had previously decided not to again run for the Executive Board, my very special commitment to the Club and the myriad issues and challenges that we will have to confront in the next two years have led me to seek a position on the Board. I believe based upon both my Club and professional experience that I can contribute to addressing these future issues.

Additionally, I have been particularly concerned about recent communications to our members which contain certain statements and claims with which I don't fully agree.

I believe I can make the needed positive and constructive contributions to the issues we must address together: a new general manager, sale of the land, budget and fiscal responsibility, open communication, and capital improvements to the Club's facilities.

I have served on all major committees during my years here, as well as several years on our nominating committee. In addition, I have served on our Board of Governors, and currently serve as Secretary of the Board.

Someone very wise once said to me "be careful what you wish for, as you may get it". I ran for position of Secretary two years ago because that is how I thought I could best serve the club, but have to admit these last two years have been most difficult and challenging.

My focus has not been limited to just the organization, preparation, and dissemination of our clubs' minutes; it overflows into all significant business and financial matters affecting our club. This includes involvement and participation with all club committees.

I currently serve on the select sub-committee of Finance [one of three individuals] and successfully negotiated the re-financing of our current mortgages, at very significant cash flow savings to the club, as well as the elimination of over $400,000.00 in mortgage prepayment penalties that were previously imposed on our mortgages.

There is much work remaining to be done, I plan to continue to work hard for the benefit of all our clubs members and I believe my financial and business background, coupled with my desire to work for our club, would make me an asset to our next board.

I sincerely ask for your vote

Respectfully,
Joel Macher

Harvey Ostrager

I have been a member of the Board of Governors during this past year and served as chairman of the golf carts and utilities committees. I have been a member of Cold Spring Country Club since 1993 and have enjoyed the past 13 years. I have served on many committees during that time including House, Golf, Nominating, Tournament and a few others. I also enjoy going to the dinners and many functions that our great committees work very hard on.

I am currently President of Wm. Van Waardt Co., and have been an owner for 38 years. In December of 1983, I created the first industrial co-op in Manhattan, 121 Varick Street Corp that consists of 125,000 sq. ft of commercial space. I was president of the co-op for over 20 years. I feel my experience dealing with our board will carry over in a positive and productive way at Cold Spring Country Club. For the past 10 years, I have been active with fund raising for the Diabetes Research Institute. First, as a volunteer, and a tournament director for the past seven years. We run a very successful golf outing and raised over 450,000 this past August 7, 2006.

I attended Queens College and met my wife Karol, who always needed a ride to and from school, so she decided to marry me. I also served in the United States Navy and spent nine months in Vietnam. (What was a nice little Jewish boy doing there?) Looking back I must say I was very proud to serve our country. I know that I would have the same feeling serving the people of Cold Spring Country Club.

Thank you
