Cold Spring Golf
Like a Family
The Cold Spring golf experience is truly one of the finest that Long Island country clubs have to offer. Whether playing our beautifully designed Seth Raynor 18 hole course which surrounds Oheka Castle, participating in our Men’s League or Girl’s Night Out, or maybe turning out the lights and playing Night Golf, the Cold Spring golf experience has something for all skill levels and abilities.
Our three PGA professionals including Austin Straub, and Jane Sirmons, all come with the finest of reputations, and have all had successful playing careers both locally and nationally. Our starters and outside staff are first class and run the golf operation so that when you step on our property, you feel as if all of your troubles have gone away and that it’s time to relax and enjoy your golf. Additionally, the Cold Spring caddy program features some of the finest and most experienced caddies on the Island. The caddies give you the feeling that today just might be your best golfing day of the season.
The golf Pro Shop has quickly become one of the mostly highly acclaimed on Long Island. With an extensive line of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing it promotes an atmosphere that you are not only in a golf shop, but a men’s or women’s boutique. Our motto is always: Why go to the mall when you can shop at J & A? We provide a wide assortment of some of the top golf equipment manufacturers in the world and offer truly personalized service to make sure the equipment you’re using is just right for you.
If it’s a great golf course you want, Cold Spring will deliver. Having hosted many area events and qualifiers - most recently the 2011 Met Open Qualifier -the reviews from some of the top golfers in our area have been outstanding. The course offers difficulty yet playability. As one professional said, "The condition is excellent and the playability is fantastic. You do not have a bad hole on this golf course."
What makes Cold Spring stand out the most is the relationships and the fun our golf experience provides. A Cold Spring member is truly a member of a family. Whether it’s the pros or the members, the relationships formed in our relaxed and friendly atmosphere can last a lifetime. I know personally, as I grew up here as a child, and now I have the privilege of being the club’s Director of Golf. I take that honor very seriously and that is why I try and give back so much. As I always say, if my members are having fun then I know my job will be fun.
I hope to see you all soon on the links.
